iPhone 16: 6.3 and 6.9 inch screens would be reserved for Pro / Max models
The iPhone 16 will be entitled to larger screens of 6.3 and 6.9 inches. But beware: this will only concern the Pro and Pro Max models. Indeed, analyst Ross Young says the non-Pro models will stick with the 6.1 and 6.7-inch sizes.
Ross Young had already mentioned the 6.3 and 6.9 inch screens for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. It indicates today to MacRumors that these sizes will be reserved for Pro models.
There’s never been an iPhone with such a big screen. The biggest is the one we now have with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and its 6.7-inch panel. This will also be the case this year with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. We must therefore expect developments from 2024 with the iPhone 16 and more particularly the Pro models.
Naturally, several questions may arise. Should we expect other notable differences between the Pro and non-Pro? There are already today, such as the fact that the Pro models have the latest chips from Apple, where the non-Pros have the previous generation. Also, will the increase in screen size translate into a price increase? Apple offers the iPhone 14 Pro from 1,329 euros and the iPhone 14 Pro Max from 1,479 euros. Another question: will the general design evolve on the Pro range? It is a possibility, but the subject is not mentioned for the moment.
