iPhone 14 Pro Max vs Galaxy S23 Ultra: a test determines which smartphone is faster
Who offers the fastest smartphone: Apple with its iPhone 14 Pro Max or Samsung with its Galaxy 23 Ultra? A test has precisely compared the two smartphones and it is very tight.
The test carried out by PhoneBuff involves opening the same apps on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra. You have to wait for an application to be fully loaded before moving on to the next one. There are 16 apps in total.
The iPhone and the Galaxy are quite close at first, then the iPhone starts having trouble loading the Filmora video editing app, where it was instant opposite. This of course allowed Samsung’s smartphone to get ahead. The iPhone was then better for games, which allowed it to catch up some of the delay.
On arrival, the Galaxy S23 Ultra opened apps in 1 minute and 54 seconds, where the iPhone 14 Pro Max took a second longer. This is the first time since 2019 that an Android smartphone has beaten an iPhone in this PhoneBuff test.
A second test also takes place. It is identical to the first, except that here the applications are in multitasking. The idea is to see if smartphones manage to keep them active or if some need to be charged again. Here, the iPhone was a little faster at 45 seconds, compared to 47 seconds for the Galaxy.
If we combine the two tests, the iPhone 14 Pro Max took 2 minutes, 41 seconds and 53 hundredths, there the Galaxy 23 Ultra took 2 minutes, 41 seconds and 78 cents. Suffice to say that it is more than similar.
