Apple has again messed with the dimensions of the iPhone 14 Pro-Max, which means that new device cases have to be designed. With 6.7 inches diagonal, it is a large device. Compared to the predecessor iPhone 13 Pro-Max, the iPhone 14 Pro-Max is brighter and sharper in full sunlight.
Apple fans will breathe a sigh of relief because the infamous notch is gone. This has been replaced by the Dynamic Island, which is less annoying and still clearly visible when you watch a video on the screen. Another perhaps useful function is the “Always On” function. Certain widgets are always shown. The whole screen continues to illuminate albeit at a lower intensity.
More economical and faster processor
The battery lasts an unimpressive 5% longer due to the economical processor. With this, the device occupies a middle position between the economical Google Pixel 6 Pro and the half as efficient Galaxy S 22 from Samsung. Charging still takes a long time with the 20 W charger, which unfortunately is not included, so you have to buy it separately. If you want to charge wirelessly, this device only reaches 7.5 W with a standard Qi charger and double that with a MagSafe compatible wireless charger.
At the moment, Apple’s A16 processor is still the fastest available for smartphones and the lead has even grown. No wonder that games can be played fluently and smoothly on this smartphone.

But perhaps the best reason to buy this phone: the excellent cameras. For example, the main 48 megapixel camera has a huge sensor, 65% larger. As a result, the image quality has improved enormously. Night photos are also noticeably better. Of course, these photos are reduced to 12 megapixels, but in return you get a much better image quality. For enthusiasts it is still possible to request the 48 megapixel version via the ProRaw mode. In fact, the device takes several photos at the same time with every photo shot. Artificial intelligence picks the best and turns it into a crystal clear image. In short, the emerging Chinese competition has a lot to fear in the camera area.
Artificial intelligence also applies to improve video recording. Pixels are merged to create a smooth whole.
