iPhone 13 Pro cases show larger cameras for new devices
The rumors about the iPhone 13 follow each other in rapid succession. A number of new photos now show how large the camera island of the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max is.

iPhone 13 Pro camera island seen in photos
The images are from the Chinese social network Weibo and then shared on Twitter by DuanRui. This is a nice one that is increasingly coming up with information about unannounced Apple products. The images show that the camera module of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is probably slightly larger than that of its predecessor, the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max case contains a 12 Pro Max, so we can see the difference. The camera island is not much bigger, but it is visible. With the regular iPhone 13 Pro (the photo on the right), the difference with the iPhone 12 Pro is much clearer. This indicates that the camera module is significantly larger with the upcoming Pro iPhone.
Because the camera island is a lot bigger with the iPhone 13 Pro, the device probably looks even more like the Max variant. The custom camera module may be required for the sensor shift function. This stabilizes the camera lens better, so you’re less likely to have blurry photos or videos. However, it is unclear how reliable the images are, so we take the information with a grain of salt for now.
More about the iPhone 13 Pro (Max)
We don’t have to wait very long for the announcement of the new iPhones. The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 mini are expected to be unveiled in September, with release expected at the end of that month. Rumors have it that an announcement will be made on September 14. You could pre-order the iPhone 13 phones on September 17, and they’ll hit stores on the 24th.
The iPhone 13 devices don’t seem to be the most exciting iPhones. Despite this, Apple plans to make some smart improvements. For example, the notch – the notch at the top of the screen for Face ID – would become smaller.
Also, the camera has to move forward again. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max would also get a ProMotion display, which refreshes itself more often and therefore shows very smooth images.
