New software updates: iOS 14.7.1 and more
Last week, Apple released new software updates for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. These updates fix a few issues, such as the bug where Apple Watch owners couldn’t unlock their watch via Touch ID.
Unfortunately, we’re not sure if iOS 14.6’s battery issues are now a thing of the past. For the Mac and Apple Watch, Apple has mainly solved security problems.

The iPhone 13 may not be released in September: here’s why
Apple presented its quarterly results last week. The atmosphere was great, because the company is doing well. Very good, even. There were 50 percent more iPhones sold compared to the same quarter last year and sales increased again.
But it’s not all roses and roses. At the end of the presentation, Luca Maestri, the financial man at Apple, warned that the company fears production problems. These would mainly affect the iPhone and iPad arm of the company.

Apple warns: don’t do this when replacing AirTag battery
The AirTag contains a small, coin-shaped battery. You can easily swallow it and this can cause a very dangerous chemical reaction. Some battery manufacturers (including Duracell) have therefore applied a bitter coating to the battery to prevent children from eating it.
A button cell battery with a coating is therefore as safe if you have young children, but it is better to get other batteries for the AirTag. Apple warned about this last week.

Bigger new iMac won’t hit the market until 2022
According to a tweet from dylandkt Apple has decided not to release the new high-end iMac in 2021. The company wants to prevent the device from competing with other products that are still in the pipeline. This is bad news for users who have been waiting for a new Pro iMac for a long time.
In addition to the new iMac, Apple is also rumored to have several MacBooks, a new iPhone, an Apple Watch and an iPad mini in the works. Too many launches result in less attention per product.
