iPhone 13 may be full faster thanks to new charger

Apple seems to be working on fast charging. According to a rumor, the iPhone 13 can handle chargers of up to 25 Watts. This will charge the battery faster.

Read on after the ad.

iPhone 13 gets faster charger

The message comes from MyDrivers. The Chinese website knows that the iPhone 13 will soon be able to charge slightly faster than the iPhone 12, which can handle a maximum of 20 Watts of ‘fast charging’.

You do have to buy this charger yourself. Since the iPhone 12, Apple has stopped putting adapters in the packaging of new iPhones. The source does not know how expensive the 25 Watt charger will be.

The Chinese website does write that “some” new iPhones can charge faster. It therefore seems logical that the feature only comes to the successors of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which are more expensive (and better) than the ‘regular’ iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.

Fast Charging: Android vs Apple

iPhones have long been able to charge fast. That’s great, because this means your phone battery is full faster and you don’t have to wait as long.

Android manufacturers have been investing a lot in reducing the charging times of phones in recent years. For example, the OnePlus Nord 2 presented this week can charge with a power of 65 Watts. The battery of this Android smartphone goes from 0 to 100 percent within about 30 minutes.

Rumors about the iPhone 13 Pro (Max)

In September, Apple will announce the iPhone 13 series, which will probably consist of four devices. The iPhone 13 Pro (Max) seems to get a new screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. As a result, pixels refresh 120 times per second, instead of 60 times as on the iPhone 12 Pro (Max).

This of course looks very nice, but it does require a lot of power. It would therefore only be logical that Apple makes a faster charger for these devices. Do you want to know more about the new iPhones of 2021? Then watch the video below, in which we go through all the rumors with you.
