Today marks the availability of the iPad Air 5 and Apple is releasing a first ad to tout the various features. The advertisement is called Election.

First advertisement for the iPad Air 5
The ad features a group of college students using the iPad Air 5 to create campaigns for a high school election. The tablet’s camera, Apple Pencil support, 5G support, communication, compatibility with keyboards and other features are in the video. The spot ends with the tagline “your next computer is not a computer”.
Here is what Apple says in the description:
Meet the new iPad Air. Supercharged by Apple’s M1 chip. In five amazing colors. 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with 5G. (Cellular models subject to availability. Accessories sold separately). 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle front camera with Center Frame. And, of course, it works with Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. Your next computer is not a computer.
This choice of phrase “your next computer is not a computer” is not insignificant. Apple is really trying to push its users to switch to the iPad rather than choose a MacBook. This is not the first time that Apple has used this slogan, it was already present in previous advertisements (for the iPad Pro in particular).
