iOS 15.2 beta 2: the list of new features

Apple today released the second beta of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2. There are some novelties on the program, this is the opportunity to discover them one by one here.

What’s new in iOS 15.2 beta 2

The Messages app now displays a pop-up to warn children and their parents when receiving or sending sexually explicit photos. Machine learning directly on the iPhone is used to analyze the images. This system was first announced in August to fight against child pornography.

A new “legatee contact” function has appeared. It allows you to choose a contact who can, after your death, access and download your account data. This includes photos, messages, notes, files, contacts, calendar events, downloaded apps, device backups and more. However, the legatee contact will not be able to access iCloud Keychain or licensed media.

The Apple TV application evolves on iPad. She gains a sidebar to quickly jump from one section to another. There is also access to buy movies and series on the iTunes Store.

The “Hide my email” function is now available. It allows you to send an e-mail while hiding its real address from the recipient. iOS 15.2 is responsible for creating a random address that refers to your inbox.

Finally, there is a change in iOS 15.2 for AirTags. The Locate app adds a function to scan your surroundings and spot potential AirTags that might be following you without your knowledge. An option appears if such a scenario arises to stop tracking.

Apple is yet to say when the final version of iOS 15.2 will be available to all users.
