IOS 14 untethered jailbreak with Unc0ver 7.0.0

The Unc0ver 7.0.0 tool is available for download for an untethered jailbreak of iOS 14 thanks to Fugu14. Please note, however, that this only works on certain versions and with certain devices. More devices will be supported over time.

An untethered jailbreak of iOS 14 with Unc0ver 7.0.0 and Fangu14

Initially, the untethered jailbreak of iOS 14 with Unc0ver 7.0.0 and Fugu14 concerns devices with chips between A12 and A14 (iPhone XS and newer models). The iPhone and iPad must be running a version between iOS 14.4 and iOS 14.5.1. If not, then the untethered jailbreak will not work.

Another important element: Fugu14 must be installed before using Unc0ver. It requires having a Mac, the full instructions are to be found on GitHub. This implies in particular having the firmware of your device, but unarchived (you can download the firmware on this page). You also need to have Xcode, iproxy and ideviceinstaller. This is all very important, otherwise Unc0ver will display an error.

It doesn’t stop there. Do not start modifying the code of Fangu14 or your device could do a bootloop (permanently restart on the Apple logo). So be careful.

Linus Henze, who is behind Fangu14, believes that a simplified installer will probably be available soon. It should be understood by this that Pwn20wnd, which takes care of Unc0ver, could directly integrate Fangu14, users could then use it easily, as they did for previous jailbreaks.

The untethered jailbreak of iOS 14 is available now with Unc0ver 7.0.0 which is available on unc0ver.dev. And for those who are wondering, an untethered jailbreak means the jailbreak stays in place after restarting the iPhone or iPad. We haven’t seen one in years.
