iOS 14.5 supports PS5 DualSense / Xbox Series X controllers
iOS 14.5 supports the DualSense controller for the PS5 and the controller for the Xbox Series X. This is convenient for those who have newer consoles and also want to play on iPhone or iPad.
He had previously said that support would see the light of day with a previous update of iOS 14. This was linked to the presence of a specific code in one of the beta versions. But we will finally have to wait for iOS 14.5 to have support for the DualSense controller for the PS5 and the controller for the Xbox Series X.
The use of PS5 and Xbox Series X controllers with iOS 14.5 will be possible with any game. It can be a game from the App Store or a title available on Apple Arcade. The catalog includes more than 100 titles to date.
At the same time, iOS 14.5 offers AirPlay 2 support for Apple Fitness +. It will thus be possible to broadcast the exercises from your iPhone or iPad to your TV. This will be especially useful for those who do not have an Apple TV, since the Apple Fitness + service already exists on tvOS. Note that the activity rings, remaining workout time and calories burned will not appear on the TV.
iOS 14.5 is currently available in developer beta. The final version will arrive in early spring according to Apple.
