Investing in crypto in the Netherlands is on the rise
Investing in crypto can count on a lot of interest from the Netherlands: more is being invested in cryptocurrency than ever.
Do you have money in crypto or are you planning to? You’re not the only one. You will surely de buzz Following around cryptocurrency, but hearing about it is different from putting your hard earned money into it. Is crypto such a phenomenon that you hear more about than actually happening?
Crypto in the Netherlands
Absolutely not. Research agency Kantar is investigating the figures of who all invest in crypto. That number is now around 1.6 million people in the Netherlands. That number has been increased considerably since 2021: this year 570,000 Dutch people stepped in. The prognosis is already that the 2 million will already be tapped in 2022, because potential interest was also surveyed and that is also frequently present.
Better investing
According to Kantar’s research, investing in crypto alone is at least as popular as investing in more things. Half of the people surveyed only invest in crypto and not in other things such as real estate and investing in money through the bank. The reason cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin still score is because of the long-term investment. Yes, the Bitcoin exchange has fallen like a brick several times, but in the big picture, the majority of Bitcoin investors have made a living from it. Investing in crypto is seen as a much better way of investing compared to ordinary savings, which is not interesting enough due to low or even negative interest rates and current inflation.
Ease
Nearly 600,000 people invested in crypto for the first time in 2021, of which a remarkably large proportion are women. About 42 percent of current crypto investors are women, while with regular stocks and other forms of investing that percentage is around 34 percent. The explanation for this is because young, old, male or female, you name it, has easier access to investing than ever. Where you used to depend on foreign sites, there are now many Dutch apps and providers that make investing in crypto easy. (via De Telegraaf)
