Realme introduced its first ever realme Watch some time ago. We have had them in the editorial office for a long time, so we will say if and for whom this is a suitable purchase. They are characterized by a relatively good price-performance ratio, a clear display or decent battery life. So let’s look at them together.

The packaging of the realme Watch clearly shows to whom the watch wants to be similar. Yes, you’re guessing right, apple. The long paper box itself is Apple Watch’s packaging is strikingly similar and otherwise it is not even inside. In addition to the watch itself, the package also includes a power cord without any adapter and a user manual. Look for no shorter / spare strap here. So even though the packaging is poorer, it doesn’t make a bad impression on us. The box is solid and at first glance evokes a premium, which may not be entirely true. But about that in the next paragraphs.
Quality of workmanship and appearance
Smart watch realme Watch they look like a combination of Apple Watch and Amazfit GTS, at least in terms of shape. When you pick them up for the first time, you will understand why they are so cheap. Their body is made of plastic, which, however, is not necessarily wrong. The housing then has a diameter 36.5 mm and are 11.8 mm thick. Thanks to the materials used, they weigh only 31 grams, so you can hardly feel them on your hands, but we don’t really feel cheap about them. Maybe shiny edges do it. But if you’re buying a watch for prestige, take a look at something else (and probably more expensive).
However, they don’t even want to play for that. They just look ordinary and certainly will not be ashamed. In addition, after several days of use the shiny body didn’t scratch, which is another positive. It is located on the right side single buttonto wake up the watch and return to the home screen. We will talk more about the display itself in the next chapter. The watch does not lack certification IP68, so if it starts to rain while running, you shouldn’t worry. On the contrary, we wouldn’t go swimming or showering with Realme Watch.

On the realme Watch we find 1.4 ″ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. If that’s not enough for you, we’re not surprised. The display is not evenly distributed over the entire front. It is located in the lower part relatively thick chin as on some Android phones. If you have a dial with a black background, you can cover this ailment quite well. On the contrary, when using colored dials, the watch does not look very good and at this moment it has the already mentioned cheap impression. So we definitely recommend a more minimalist and dark motif.

As for the quality of the display, it’s much better. The raster is coarser, but it will please you, for example high maximum brightness, thanks to which you can read on the watch what you need even in direct sunlight (320 rivets). Glass takes care of protection Gorilla Glass 3 and during the period of use (approx. 14 days) we did not encounter any major scratches. The watch has occasionally touch problem and the display does not always understand what you want to tap. However, it is rather a sporadic matter. What a little here the Always-on display is missing. However, given the price of the watch, the realme can be forgiven.
Operating system and performance
To begin with, the Realme Watch works Android only and you don’t have a chance to connect them to iOS and other systems. For us, it’s a bit of a shame, when today the vast majority of manufacturers supports both systems. Realme has deployed its own operating system and did not share with us the specifications such as the chip used or the RAM capacity. As for the performance itself, it is definitely not perfect and we may understand why it decided not to publish the specification.
Realme Watches get stuck quite often and even scrolling through menus or settings is torn. As for the system itself, you really only get basic functions that you expect from a watch. Don’t look for anything extra here. If you swipe down, it will appear notifications that cannot be answered, however, you can read them. If you have read them, you can only delete them. Nothing more. When you swipe up, you will see the main one menu with all applications. There are features such as music playback (which does not work during training), a camera on which you can remotely see and then take a photo on your phone, weather or meditation.
There is also an application for measuring heart rate or SpO2, which, on the contrary, we appreciate for such cheap watches. There is also an alarm clock, stopwatch, sleep recording or exercise mode. In it we get to choose from several modes, including walking, running, cycling, football, basketball, aerobics or yoga. Swipe left to see individual apps as widgets to see your results.
Realme application
The realme Watch is connected to the phone via the Realme Link application. It is very simple and only takes a few seconds, when the application automatically detects the realm hardware and then connects to it itself. In addition, you can check all your statistics in more detail in the application and you can also set your watch in various ways. You can set, for example, at what intervals the heart rate should be released or, for example, the connection of notifications. If you want to send your data to another application, you can only go to Google Fit. Unfortunately, realme does not yet support other applications.
