Install Android 12 with One UI 4.0 now – that’s how it works
The Android 12 beta with One UI 4.0 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra. Samsung reveals for the first time how big the innovations will be compared to Android 11 and how the Material-You design will be implemented by Google. So you install the new version.

Update from 09/15/2021: One day after the Android 12 beta was announced for the Samsung Galaxy S21, I was able to register for the new version and install the update. This is how I proceeded:
- Open the “Samsung Members” app
- There is now a blue notice with “Registration of the One UI beta program …”, which you have to go to.
- Important: Then you have to click on the picture. This is the button that brings you to the registration.
- Now everything is explained to you and you have to click on “Register”
- Wait about 10 minutes and then go to Settings> Software Update and look for an update there
- The 2.4 GB Android 12 update will be displayed there.
Note: The installation of the Android 12 beta on one of the Galaxy S21 smartphones is at your own risk. Samsung, but also we strictly point out that the operating system can still have many errors. Especially since this is the first version.

The wait is over – at least in the US and South Korea. From now on, the first beta version of Android 12 will be distributed there for users of the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra (source: Samsung). There are also more emojis and data protection has been strengthened. For example, you can not only see which apps you have given permissions for the last 24 hours, but also for the last 7 days.

So far, the first Android 12 beta for the Galaxy S21 smartphones has only been released in the USA and South Korea. Samsung has already confirmed that the beta will also start in Germany. So it won’t be long before you meet Register for it via the Samsung Members App can.
