Instagram will no longer be free. It will offer paid content soon
At the beginning of the year, we were able to catch information that Instagram prepaid content is around the corner. We learn from several sources that the development of this feature is even sponsored, which suggests that Instagram is really serious. For more information on how things are, visit the techcrunch.com portal.
Instagram subscription content?
We learn from various sources that paid content also comes on Instagram. This is also indicated by the fact that a purchase option has been added to the US app. Two independent intelligence services, Tower Sensor and Appolpia, informed us. Both of these sources followed the Instagram application, focusing on the smallest details, such as changing the photos in the app store, changing the description, and so on.
As we have noticed, Instagram first tests its new features with a small group of users and then makes them available to everyone. Therefore, if Instagram subscriptions in the USA start in the near future, it is realistic that we will not see this functionality immediately, but only after a few weeks to months.
Instagram is constantly working to make its platform increasingly friendly for content creators. The primary idea of prepaid content is that users could pay smaller symbolic amounts for premium content from their favorite creator.
How will it work?
Even though the prepaid Instagram content is around the corner, we know relatively little about it. Through the analysis of the new Instagram application, it was possible to find out that this function would assign a badge to subscribers. This badge would allow them to track premium content that other users do not have access to. This content will be made available to us after you sign in, but we can’t make any recordings of it (not even a screenshot).
This initiative was created, among other things, because Instagram is definitely not the only one who wants to keep talent. In addition to the constantly growing number of startups, we also have a number of other platforms, such as TikTok, Snap, Pinterest and Youtube.
Currently, Instagram refuses to provide more information about new in-app purchase options. The company’s plans are therefore likely to be revealed to us in the future.
