Now when you share a story via Instagram Stories, it can have a maximum duration of 15 seconds. You can make multiple stories from a video. It seems that Instagram is testing with longer Stories.

New information shows that the social network is testing the ability to share Stories that last 60 seconds. As a result, they are no longer shared in different videos. It is not known whether Instagram will definitively roll out the function and if so, when this should happen.
