Inspire 3, Versa 4 and Sense 2: Fitbit unveils an armada of bracelets and connected watches

Fitbit has ambition in the market smart watch. The manufacturer has just presented a new model of connected bracelet, theInspire 3as well as two models of connected watches, the Versa 4 and the Sense 2. The Inspire 3 will be offered for sale at only a hundred euros, and yet, at this affordable price, we will still have a screen OLED tactile and color (monochrome on the previous range), a heart sensor (with SpO2 level) and skin sensor (for body temperature), and various functions such as step tracking, sleep analysis, or even the evaluation of the calories expended. Autonomy remains at 10 days, same as the Inspire 2. Pre-orders for the Inspire 3 are open on the manufacturer’s site, with the first deliveries scheduled for September.

The Versa 4 and Sense 2 smartwatches may have a different name, but their design is not really different, even if the more rounded shapes mark a break with previous generations. Always sportier, the Versa 4 now “manages” 40 activities compared to 20 on the previous model. We note that dance and the ruthless Crossfit invite themselves to the program.

The Sense 2 is a bit the same as the Versa 4, plus stress monitoring (24 days a week thanks to the Body Response sensor). When the Sense 2 detects a rise in stress, it offers a whole series of exercises (especially breathing exercises) aimed at reducing the pressure. The Sense 2 also has an ECG (heart rate) sensor designed to detect atrial fibrillation (like on the Apple Watch).

Regarding the other commonalities between the two watches, we can cite in bulk iOS / Android compatibility, an OS based on Android and not Wear OS (Google Maps and Google Wallet are supported), and a 6-day autonomy (Fitbit announces 12 minutes of charging for 1 day recovered. Note that the Fitbit Premium subscription (8.99 euros per month) gives access to hundreds of video exercises, new functions, etc. (six-month trial at the purchase of a new model). Finally, the autonomy remains unchanged compared to the Inspire 2, i.e. approximately 10 days. The pre-orders of the two toquantes are already open at a price of 229.95 euros for the Versa 4 and 299.95 euros for the Sense 2, the first deliveries being expected for the fall.
