ING is again troubled by malfunction: problems with transfers and iDeal
There are again problems at ING. After having had to deal with malfunctions several times in the past month, today it is hit again. Due to a malfunction, customers experience problems with paying with iDeal and there are also problems with transfers.
Malfunction at ING
There have been problems at ING since Wednesday morning. It concerns problems with both internet banking and mobile banking. It seems that not every customer is affected by the outage, but a large group is. Complaints about the bank are pouring in on social media. Due to the malfunction, it is impossible for customers to make a payment via iDeal. People also notice problems with transferring amounts via the ING Banking app. In these cases, an error message appears on the screen. It also seems that it is not always possible to transfer money via the ING website.
The outage appears to have started around 11 a.m. The bank says it is aware of this and that a solution is being worked on. It has become more frequent in recent weeks. At the end of October there was also a major malfunction with transfers and payment requests, on October 10 there was also a malfunction that caused problems with payment requests. It is unknown when today’s outage will be resolved.
