iMac Pro is disappearing from the range
Apple no longer supplements the range of the iMac Pro. The company indicates that this model of desktop computer is only available ‘while stocks last’ and will therefore disappear from the range afterwards.

End of current iMac Pro in sight
Apple is removing the current iMac Pro from the range. Whether this heralds the arrival of a possible successor is not yet known. With the message ‘while supplies last’, Apple warns visitors that the stock of the iMac Pro is no longer being replenished. Now only the basic model is available, so it is no longer possible to adjust the desktop.
The current iMac Pro is mainly aimed at professionals who need a lot of computing power. In 2017, the desktop computer stood out mainly because of the space gray version.
Since its launch, the iMac Pro has had no real updates. Besides some minor configurations, the desktop computer remained much the same. The current model is therefore ready for a successor. It is not yet clear whether that successor will also be implemented. There are some rumors, so predict GF Securities and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that there will indeed be a new iMac Pro in 2021. However, there are no concrete indications for this yet. In addition, Apple itself also keeps its lips tight.
Expectations and wishes for the new iMac Pro
Despite – or thanks to – the lack of concrete information, the imagination of concept developers remains stimulated. So late design studio Khahn Design see what the new iMac Pro with Pro Display XDR might look like. The new Apple computer from the concept stands out mainly because of its thin bezels. You only see thin, black edges at the ends of the screen.
The arrival of mini-LED to the iMac Pro is also in the list of expectations. Mini LED screens ensure that products become thinner and lighter, while offering roughly the same benefits of an OLED display.
