If you want to stream, you have to pay
No more free streaming, o2 is discontinuing the attractive Select & Stream additional offer for mobile phone tariffs. Saving Netflix costs or pressing the price of a Sky ticket no longer works like this.
o2 cancels streaming option: Many cell phone tariffs affected
For a number of months now, o2 has had an attractive additional offer ready for many mobile phone customers as part of a special offer: Via Select & Stream you could get in at selected tariffs Free annual subscription of your choice, from Netflix, Sky Ticket or your own o2 TV. This has now come to an end, the mobile operator has ended the offer.
New customers were able to book the additional option o2 Select & Stream in the tariffs o2 Free M Boost, L Boost, Unlimited Smart and Unlimited Max as well as in the fixed network tariffs my Home M (Homespot only) and L, XL and XXL as well as with contract extensions.
In the meantime, both Sky Ticket and Netflix can no longer be selected in combination with the tariffs (source: o2). What does Select & Stream replace?
Whoever booked the offer within the promotional period must fear nothing. The one-year subscription is retained. It is not yet known whether there will be another tariff campaign as a successor and what this might look like.
