Iconic series returns and on Netflix
We all know this iconic series and Netflix is bringing it back to TV. With a modern sauce of course!
The streaming services do good business with old series. Just think about Friends. The series is still quite old, but still attracts many viewers. Reviving friends is difficult, success can hardly be matched. Netflix will try this with another nostalgic series.
Iconic series on Netflix
You either hate the series or you love it. There is almost no middle ground with the Power Rangers. It is an American live action television series. The series has been broadcast since 1993. It was produced by Saban Entertainment from 1993 to 2001. Then, until 2009, by Disney. The series is based on the Japanese Super Sentai series. But it’s not a copy of that. It was a completely new production with American actors, interspersed with footage from the Sentai series.
Netflix is going to revive the Power Rangers. It is currently working on several series and movies about the Power Rangers. It’s a risky project, because the last movie was really terrible. The public therefore stayed away en masse.
reboot
Because the film was a flop, the rights were sold. And to the toy manufacturer Hasbro. Because the film did not do well, toys from the series were still sold fairly well. Smart move from this manufacturer. So now they are also going to make a reboot, in collaboration with Netflix.
The whole is led by Jonathan Entwistle. We know him from the dark comedy The End of the F**ing World. He made this known on Twitter. “The genie is out of the bottle. The new Power Rangers universe is coming to Netflix!” Entwistle said.
