‘I emailed a business associate instead of the dog sitter about the sterilization’

Send a special email to the wrong recipient or post a selfie without thinking. There are a lot of blunders on social media. Fortunately, these mothers can laugh about it.

Marjolein (36) is mother of Jelke (6), Wytze (3), Tjitze (6 months) and puppy Milly (3 months), and married to Bauke (41):

“’Watch out for pregnancy, the sterilization is only in four weeks’, I emailed our dog sitter about our puppy.

“Don’t worry,” replied my business associate, whose name also started with a B. “I know you already have three children.” He thought my mistake was hilarious and then awarded me three assignments. I really informed the dog sitter.”

Frija (32) is the mother of Saar (7) and lives with Leandro (40):

“Saar comes with me at school, so I dared to stretch the visit to the lung specialist for her asthma a bit in accountability to school. ‘Saar is in the hospital all day for an examination,’ I told her off.

At 12.30 pm I posted a selfie on Instagram without thinking, on which we ate some chips in the city. I thought she deserved some relaxation. The teacher – we’re not even friends on Insta but I have a public account – was the first to respond: ‘You’re in luck, have fun!’

Luckily I never heard anything more about it.”
