Those little dragons are her whole world. It is therefore very logical that Mina wants to spoil her children with beautiful clothes and trips to the amusement park.

Mina (31): “Before Mila (3) and Musa (2) were born, I lost a child. I am extremely grateful and happy that I had two healthy children afterwards. I do know that I shouldn’t spoil them too much with gifts and clothes, because we also receive a lot from relatives. Yet it does happen.

I am self-employed and I am successful in my work. When I became a mother, I also wanted to keep working. As a result, I regularly feel that my children lack attention. In return I will buy them nice clothes. It may not be right and I know not everyone has that luxury position, but I can give it to them, so why not?

To do fun things

My parents are Iraqi, I was born in Baghdad. I call myself a refugee child. My parents had a good life in Iraq, but came here with nothing. They had to rebuild everything. When I was little, things weren’t always easy for us. When I’m free, I want to do fun things, give my kids what I didn’t have. And so I buy tickets to amusement parks or the zoo.

My husband said the other day: ‘We can just go to the petting zoo, can’t we?’ I am very happy to be a mother, I am proud of it and I want to enjoy it. Even if it costs a little too much.”
