Huawei wants to offer increased storage for older phones
The system and its components are taking up more and more space and may appear on some older phones with less storage problem with lack of space. This fact motivated the Chinese company Huawei to start offering a special service to the owners of such “endangered” phones. So far in the home country, but gradually even in other parts of the world, it will allow customers for a fee of 369 yuan (about 1200 CZK) to have their service perform storage magnification. More precisely, equal doubling.
The service will initially cover several selected models and 128, 256 and 512 GB spare internal memories will be available in the services. They have been on the list since July flag series P and Mate from generations 9, 10, 20 and 30. By the end of the year, models from the Nova series from variant 2 to seven should be added to the program.
Huawei offers storage expansion, among other things, because its new HarmonyOS system takes up more space than the current Android with EMUI extension. This will make it easier for customers with an older mobile phone to stay in its environment, which of course pays off. At the same time, no doubt will help in the field of longer-term sustainability of electronics and people won’t have to look for another phone right away.
Is your mobile storage enough for you?
