Huawei P40 Lite receives a December security patch

Middle class smartphone Huawei P40 Lite should receive a security update these days. The information was provided by the portal HuaweiCentral.

The system remains in the Android 10 version even after the update

The Huawei P40 Lite came on the market in 2020 with the Android 10 system, the EMUI 10 extension and without Google applications. Due to the ban of the US Department of Commerce from providing US technologies, Huawei still has the same version of the system in 2022. The superstructure is in EMUI version 10.1. The manufacturer at least brings security updates and the latest one comes from December. It should fix several bugs and vulnerabilities in the system as well as the superstructure.

We expect that the update will also arrive for models that were purchased in Slovakia. If you have already received the update, please let us know in the comments below this article. Before updating, make sure your smartphone battery is at least 70% charged and connected to a free Wi-Fi network.

How is the competition?

The competition is also active in the updates. Samsung updated the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy A72, Galaxy S20 FE 4G and Galaxy A52 smartphones this week. The Android 12 recently received the Nokia G50 or Asus Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip flagship smartphones. And last year’s OnePlus 9 received an update a few days ago that fixed several bugs in the system.
