Huawei is reaching for the stars

Huawei is struggling in the smartphone market, but everything is going according to plan with the new HarmonyOS operating system. The Chinese company has reached another milestone and is also setting itself big goals for this year, which will probably be easy to achieve.

HarmonyOS installed over 50 million times

While the sales of Huawei smartphones are falling inexorably, the Chinese company can look forward to a great success. HarmonyOS 2.0 has been installed over 50 million times in China alone since it was released a few weeks ago. at Weibo Huawei has this Success proudly shared and thus proves that the interest in the new operating system remains high. On July 29th, when the Huawei P50 Pro was presented, there were already 40 million users, just a few days later there were already 50 million. Huawei wants to reach 100 million by the end of 2021.

If the trend continues, Huawei will surpass that number and significantly in a few weeks more than 100 million users of HarmonyOS to have. The operating system is currently only available in China as an upgrade from Android. At the latest when the worldwide activation takes place, the numbers should explode again. Anyone who owns a Huawei device that does not have Google services can switch to HarmonyOS without any problems. But even those who have Android with Google services will probably not feel any disadvantages, as the apps should probably continue to work – until Google no longer wants that at some point.

in the Video do you see the new Huawei tablet with HarmonyOS:

First HarmonyOS products launched in Germany

But we don’t have to do without HarmonyOS completely in Germany. There are no upgrades for older mobile phones, but new products with the operating system can be bought. This includes the Huawei Watch 3, which we recently looked at in the test, as well as the new Huawei tablets. The Huawei MatePad 11 is available to buy from Amazon for around 450 euros (see Amazon). The ratings are either extremely positive or negative. Some love the hardware with a 120 Hz display, the pen and the new operating system, others can’t do anything with it without Google services.
