HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G officially: New with the old Android
If you’ve been a fan of Android for at least 7 years, you’ve probably heard of the HTC brand. It is a Taiwanese company that once produced original and premium equipment and was one of the five largest manufacturers. Probably the most popular line of its time was the Desire line, which continues to claim the word with the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G model in 2021.
HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G: Drahý mid-ranger
Desire 21 Pro 5G is not and does not try to be a special flagship. It is a middle-class device, the price of which has climbed to $ 430 (€ 353) at home, recalls Phone Arena. The phone should also come to the United States, but whether it will come to Europe remains questionable. Inside you will find a new Snapdragon 690 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
On the surface there is a 6.67 ″ IPS LCD FullHD + display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. For HTC, this is the first device with a 90 Hz frequency. On the back there is a 48 MP camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and two classic 2 MP sensors – macro and in-depth. In front is a 16 MP selfie camera.
Unfortunately, the new model from HTC comes with the older Android 10. It saves at least a 5000 mAh battery with 18 W charging. HTC has therefore created another, slightly overpriced, not so interesting model for the highly competitive middle class. This way, it will certainly not make a hole in the world and will not gain fame.
Competition
Motorola has a strong answer to the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G: the Motorola moto g 5G plus, which has a 6.7 ″ IPS display with a 90 Hz frequency and a more powerful Snadpragon 765 processor with 5G. The rear sensors have almost the same resolution as the HTC (just macro has 5 MP) and in front, Motorola has in addition to the same 16 MP selfie sensor, also a selfie ultra-wide-angle lens with 8 MP. Motorola has up to 20 W of charging support ready for its 5000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi also has a strong answer to the question of good mid-range equipment with 5G. It is the Redmi Note 9T 5G, which will soon come to our market and bring the rare Dimensity 800U processor with 5G. In addition, the Redmi has a 6.53 ″ IPS display with a 90 Hz, 48 MP main sensor on the back, which is assisted by two 2 MP sensors – macro and depth. However, there is no ultra-wide-angle sensor, which could have been there instead of the two unnecessary cameras. There is a 13 MP selfie sensor in the front and the presence of stereo speakers will surprise you. The Redmi Note 9T 5G also has a 5000 mAh battery with 18 W charging.
