How to send voice messages with celebrity voices

“Yes, well hi, I just wanted to get in touch, I’m on my way to the Arbach, here’s the ticket inspector, wait a minute – er, here’s my ticket, thank you… so, where was I?” – Voice messages are either a direct and unfiltered insight into the everyday life of the other person or the most annoying podcast in the world.

Who a few of the haters on the dark side of the Power If you want to lure communication, you can now get Darth Vader personally on the team – and have the super villain from “Star Wars” read your own messages, panting included.

Fakeyou makes your voicemails better – or worse

Fakeyou offers users in addition to the already mentioned Sith Lord but also other celebrity voices that can deliver your messages. These include, for example, Angela Merkel, Zendaya, 50Cent, Adele and Homer Simpson.

Users can have their message created using a text-to-speech and voice-to-voice feature; with text-to-speech, the choice is more or less large depending on the language. The desired text is simply entered in the corresponding field and then “read out”.

Alternatively, users speak their message, upload it in a suitable file format and then have it converted.

There is also a lip sync function that not only puts messages in the mouth of celebrities like Elon Musk or Sonic the Hedgehog, but can also provide image material.

Fakeyou works quite well in the short test – the selection of voices and characters is extremely large, but there are also some duplications. In principle, anyone can upload additional votes – Fakeyou also states that they pay 150 US dollars per vote.

However, this means that some voices only sound moderately convincing. However, users have the opportunity to rate a vote, so that it is quite easy to see whether the test is worthwhile.

The fun is basically free of charge; the finished audio file is made available for download after a short waiting period – a few seconds in the test – and can then be sent as an mp3 file via Whatsapp or the desired messenger.

If you want more features – such as no waiting time and audio recordings of several minutes and longer lip sync videos – you can opt for one of the paid models and invest between 7 and 25 dollars a month.
