That’s because Doom requires very little computing power, while modern hardware is naturally becoming more powerful and can do more. In this case, someone got GTA V working on a Game Boy.
The Game Boy definitely doesn’t have the computing power to run this 2013 GTA. This is therefore not an installation on the device, but via streaming. Handsome head Sebastian Staacks has made it happen.
In an extensive YouTube video, Sebastian shows how he got GTA V working on a Game Boy through streaming. The basis is a custom cartridge with high-quality WiFi to enable successful streaming of the game on the device at all. The result can be seen in the video below.
