If you don’t like the files you download to be placed in the “Downloads” folder, then make the change and select another folder that you want. Here is how you can do that:

  • Launch Opera GX on your PC
  • Next, click on the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner
  • When you enter Easy setup, scroll down until you reach Downloads

  • To change the location, click on Change and then select the folder you want

If you want to be asked where to place the files each time you are about to download something, open Easy setup, scroll down and click on Go to browser settings. Click on Advanced, and find “Downloads”. Finally, click on the switch located next to the option “Ask where to save each file before downloading”. If you enable this, each time you want to download the file, you will be asked to choose the location where the file will be stored. So, if that’s suitable for you, select that option.
