Payback: How much are the points worth?
The Payback system is actually very simple: 1 point equals 1 centthus are 100 points so 1 euro. If you call up or ask for your points balance, all you have to do is divide it by 100 and you know how much euros you will get back.
- 100 points = 1 euro
- 200 points = 2 euros
- 500 points = 5 euros
- 1000 points = 10 euros
- 2000 points = 20 euros
- 5000 points = 50 euros
- …
How many points do you get?
Unfortunately, you can’t say in general that you have to spend X euros to collect 100 points – because how many points you get credited for a purchase also depends on the respective shop and the product group itself.
You can get it from most Payback partners such as “Rewe”, “C&A”, “Burger King” and “dm”. one payback point for every 2 euros worth of goods. A few partners such as “TeeSchwender”, “Linda Apotheken” or “gesund.de” even give you a payback point for every euro of goods value.
In many cases, however, there are also special conditions where certain goods are excluded from the award of points or rated lower. For example, you collect no points at priced goods such as magazines, tobacco products and the beverage deposit or for prescription drugs in participating pharmacies.
Payback: Increase point value with vouchers
Every now and then there are Payback coupons that you can use to collect multiple Payback points. These can speed up the collection of points considerably. The Payback app is also ideal for this, with which you can pay cashless on the one hand, but above all you always have all the current Payback coupons with you.
For example, if you have a voucher with which you can collect five times as many points and shop for 100 euros at a grocery store that credits you with one Payback point for every 2 euros of goods value, you can earn up to 250 points (2.50 euros) receive. Of course, only if the 100 euros consist of goods that are also “pointed”.
