The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been announced and that is a beast of a camera smartphone. This phone may not be for everyone, but cameras on smartphones are becoming increasingly important. We are curious how important you think the cameras on a phone are.
Smartphone cameras
Xiaomi’s Ultra series is known for its strong camera hardware and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is no exception. This phone has four cameras, one of which is a 1 inch camera sensor. In addition, there is a 50 MP periscope camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera and a 50 MP wide-angle camera.
Most smartphones don’t have those fancy cameras, but almost all of them can shoot good photos. We’re not talking about the 2 MP cameras that are slowly disappearing. These offer little extra for the smartphone photographer. We are talking about the 50 MP cameras that many phones are equipped with. These are often assisted by a telephoto camera to bring objects closer and a wide-angle camera that allows you to capture an extra amount of image in a photo. These cameras often also serve as a macro camera with which you can photograph beautiful flowers, insects or amphibians such as frogs.
