Honor V40 pops up in hands-on; announcement postponed

Initially, the plan of the Chinese manufacturer Honor was to present its new high-end smartphone today. However, the announcement has been delayed. In the run-up to the Honor V40, we already see the smartphone in a hands-on.

The Honor V40 is the successor to the Honor V30 that was not released in our country. Earlier we wrote about the new V40, where it became clear that the device should be announced on January 18, so today. However, that no longer appears to be the case. Honor would have to postpone the announcement until January 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time due to conference venue and equipment issues. The sale of the device in China must start immediately after the announcement.

The new Honor V40 can already be seen in various photos. These are pictures of the phone in a hands-on photo shoot, but also already on marketing material. We see a stylish device with a double front camera and a large camera island on the back of the smartphone. In total there are three cameras in the module on the back, where the main camera must be a 50MP ultra-sensitive camera with high light sensitivity. This would be assisted by an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens and 2MP macro lens. In addition, a sensor for laser autofocus is located in the other opening. Furthermore, there is talk of a Dimensity 1000+ chipset from MediaTek, support for 5G, 66W wired charging and 55W wireless charging.

It is not known whether the Honor V40 will also appear in our country. The announcement is tentatively aimed at the Chinese market.
