Honor View 40 announced
An exciting time is dawning for Honor. The manufacturer is now no longer in the hands of Huawei and Honor hopes to provide the smartphones with Google services again. This does not yet apply to the View 40. Because it was developed when Honor was still under Huawei, it is not provided with Google Play Services.
The Honor View 40 is equipped with a Dimensity 1000+ chipset from MediaTek. Previously, Honor devices were mainly equipped with Kirin processors, so not anymore. There is a large 6.72-inch OLED screen with continuous screen edges. The phone comes with an eye-catching camera module. It offers a 50MP RYYB sensor, 8MP wide angle and 2 megapixel macro lens. At the front is a dual camera with a 16MP sensor and a color temperature sensor.
The specification list of the Honor View 40 is further completed with a 4000 mAh battery, which can charge with a power of 66 watts, or 50 watts wirelessly. Honor also gives the View 40 support for the 5G network, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Android 10 and Magic UI 4.0. The configurations that will be available are 8GB / 128GB and 8GB / 256GB. The price starts at 450 euros, but these are amounts without taxes and duties. It is unknown whether Honor plans to release the device in Europe.
