1. On your HTC One M7, open the Settings, go to About> Software Updates and make sure your phone is up to date.
2. Launch the Play Store app and open the menu located in the top left. Navigate to My Apps and make sure everything is up to date.
3. To check if a third-party app is causing this random reboot problem on HTC One M7, press and hold the phone’s power key and select the “Shut Down” option. Leave it when you see the “Reboot to Safe mode” option. This will restart your phone and you will see Safe Mode at the bottom left of the screen. If the phone works normally in Safe Mode, then one of the apps is causing the problem. To get your phone back to normal screen, press and hold the power key and select Restart. - Navigate to the settings and switch off the quick start under “Energy”.

- Press and hold the volume down button and the power button together until you see the bootloader
- Now it’s time to boot into recovery mode, select recovery mode by pressing the volume down key and the power key
- You will see that it loads with a red exclamation mark
- Press and hold the volume up button, then tap the power button without releasing the volume up button. Now release the volume down button when you see the blue screen
- Choose Wipe Cache partition
- Select restart system now with the power button and the device will restart
