Helicopter (that can’t fly) from Bond film sold for 29,000 euros
Fun to watch. Because you can’t do more with this helicopter. The helicopter is from a James Bond movie and was recently sold.
James Bond is all the rage again. That has of course everything to do with the fact that No Time To Die has been in the cinema since this week. All Bond films together has resulted in quite a lot of film-related items. From very small to very large. In this case we are talking about something big. A helicopter, but one that can’t fly and was used in the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice.
Fake helicopter from Bond movie
In front of You Only Live Twice we have to go back in time quite a while, as the film is from 1967. In that film a pilot controls a helicopter called Little Nellie on AutoGyro, while it is under fire. The filmmakers never used actual helicopters to shoot the scene. Instead, four fake helicopters were made to scale. The helicopters were suspended in the air by means of cranes. One of those helicopters from the Bond movie is now up for auction.
The James Bond Bell 47G Model Helicopter from You Only Live Twice converted to 29,279 euros. Bond’s heirloom is 2.74 meters long and 1.22 meters high. A nice addition to the living room of your villa, if you have the space for it.
