Great RPG hope is stuck in the charts

With New World, players can expect great role-playing hope that can even draw attention to itself as a Steam hit before the official release. The RPG appears again and again in the top sellers and apparently doesn’t want to leave them any longer. Let’s take a closer look at why the MMO is so popular.

New World: Amazon’s massive MMO is the new Steam favorite

A few days ago the Bus Simulator 21 was still at the top of the Steam Charts, now it’s Amazon’s new MMO New World made comfortable (source: Steam). The online RPG is just about to appear on September 28, 2021, but already seems to have hit a nerve with the Steam players.

In New World you end up on the coast of the island of Aeternum, which invites you to explore, but is full of dangers. The open-world MMO relies on a real-time combat system and places special emphasis on the PvP component and its distinctive crafting system. Pre-order New World from Amazon

Why is the open world MMO a top seller right now?

New World also popped up in the past every now and then in the Steam Charts – mostly during the official beta phases. This time again, this should have contributed to New World being the current Steam top seller.

Between September 9th and 12th, 2021, all curious players could take a look at the game for free, because during this period the open beta phase ran. Apparently a lot of players liked what they saw and decided to pre-order the game without further ado.

New World will be released on September 28th exclusively for the PC and can be pre-ordered for 39.99 euros. A console implementation for PS5, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch is currently not planned. Should New World turn out to be a success on the PC, however, it would not be absurd if developer Amazon Games also ported the MMO to the consoles at a later date. We will keep you up to date.
