Google’s new magic eraser for everyone! At what price ? How ?

A strong argument for Pixels

To attract new users, Google has developed a modern, powerful and innovative tool within its photo module. In an IA First logic, in particular on the photo modules, the firm therefore allows with the Magic Eraser to erase automatically and in a few seconds any annoying detail. So goodbye to the tourists in the background, the intrusive cars or the poles breaking up a bucolic cliché! The result is clean, almost invisible to the eye. Another very powerful tool in the Pixel’s arsenal of “photo” features.

Magic Eraser is…Magic.

Since the release of the Pixel 6, the tool has become very popular, giving even more visibility to the range. Until then exclusive to Google smartphones, the Magic Eraser will soon be available on all smartphones, Android and iOS.

A tool for Google One

Logically, the Mountain View company has not decided to embark on philanthropy. To use the Magic Eraser on any Android device, but also on iPhone, the user will have to go through Google Photo and then subscribe to Google One. However, the entry plan of Google’s ‘Premium’ service remains affordable: €1.99 per month, offering more storage and more editing options for photos.

The Magic Eraser, launch pad for Google One?

For the past few months, Google has been trying to enhance its service One with a lot of features and strategy changes. Its service provides access to a homemade VPN, additional storage space of up to 2 TB and access to Workspace Premium. So here is a new addition to its offer, with the arrival of the Magic Eraser in the subscription. This feature is not the only one to be included in the offer since customers will also be entitled to Portrait Lighting mode, Color Pop, Google’s HDR mode and other brand gadgets.

Is the feature worth €1.99 per month? If you are a photographer and you are looking to clean your shots of all the annoying little details (poles, car…) then yes, it can represent an interesting micro-investment. For a perfect result, however, nothing will replace a manual tool such as Photoshop.

Have you ever seen Magic Eraser in action? Here is a little catch-up video to show you all its potential…
