Google will change the rules for in-app payments. Who will save?

Google has made its decision since January 1, 2022 change the financial rules for spending money in the Play Store and in apps downloaded from it. Specifically, the percentages that the company required from the developers on the total amount earned will change. The share, which is, among other things, the subject of a well-known court with Epic Games and Fortnite, will be lower from next year. While so far (and indeed since the launch of the Play Store), application authors have normally paid 30% of profits, it will be half new. Or even less.

Google advocates this move with the alleged interest of developers of different sizes and with different goals, and it is no longer appropriate to maintain this constant level for everyone. But it is hard to believe that the changes would really have anything to do with the dispute. The vast majority of applications with financial transactions will be affected paying 15% of profits. In the case of musical streaming instruments, the share should decrease even at 10 percent.

To answer the question in the title: Of course, it will save the creators of applications in which microtransactions take place or which can be downloaded via the Play Store after payment. As users and consumers alike, we can simultaneously hope to take this step in some way will have a positive impact on the final amountsthat we pay.

What do you say to the old and new required share?
