Google TV app released for Android: this is what you can do with it

As a replacement for Google Play Movies, Google has released an update for the app. It’s the app you now recognize by the name ‘Google TV’. It is clear that some things have changed after the installation of the application.

Google TV (formerly Google Play Movies), that is the app title of the application that has now been given a new name. This makes the application of Google Play Movies, with the characteristic red icon, a thing of the past. Here you could download or rent a movie. To give users one-touch access to entertainment, Google has released the Google TV app. In this the Google Play Movies is added.

When you open the Google TV app, you get an overview of movies and series on the different networks. Think of a series on Disney+ and an exciting movie on Prime Video. You get tips for films and series in various categories. If you click on a movie or series, you can directly subscribe to the streaming service, choose to add it to your watch list, indicate that you have watched it, but also like or dislike it. You can also view information and the trailer.

At the bottom of the screen you can choose ‘Shopping’ in the navigation bar. Here you can see, among other things, the offer from Google itself, together with (if any) the ratings for a film. In the library you can see your own purchased content and you can also go to the watch list for films and series that you want to watch at a later time.
