Google takes Android tablets to a new level
Google gave a first look at the Pixel Tablet months ago. After a very long wait, the special Android tablet has now been officially unveiled. With the Pixel Tablet, Google has created a device that covers several purposes at the same time and should therefore offer real added value.
Google Pixel Tablet comes with speaker dock
Many months have passed between the initial presentation and the final presentation of the Pixel Tablet. And although Google has now presented the Pixel Tablet with all the details, there is still no specific date when the Android tablet with the speaker dock will appear in Germany. What is certain is that it will come. At least Google has it Price from 679 euros for the 128 GB model and 799 euros for the 256 GB model.
In Germany, the speaker dock is always included, which charges the pixel tablet and turns it into a smart speaker. So you get a total of three devices:
- Android tablet
- WLAN speaker (without tablet)
- Speaker with display (with tablet)
First and foremost, the Pixel Tablet is a regular one Android tablet with 10.95 inch display and high resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The screen even supports USI 2.0 pens, which you can buy cheaply (check out at Amazon). As expected, the Tensor G2 is used as the processor, which also works in the Pixel 7 (Pro). That should ensure decent performance, with the display only working at 60 Hz. 8 MP cameras are installed on the front and back. The case should feel particularly high-quality.
If you connect the pixel tablet to the speaker dock, it will not only be loaded there, but mutated into a Entertainment and smart home display. Google has developed a special interface that is used in the dock. In addition, a total of 50 Google apps for tablets have been optimized so that they look better on the big screen and can be used in multitasking.
Google has also worked with developers to make their Customize apps for tablets. Spotify, Minecraft, Disney+ and many more are given as examples. In the end, all other tablet owners should also benefit from this.
Even if you use the Pixel Tablet individually, the speaker dock still serves as a Smart Home Speaker, which can be operated by voice using the Google Assistant. Of course, you can also use it as a WiFi speaker and, for example, transfer music from the Pixel 7a to it.
All this makes the Pixel tablet a considerably more versatile one Android tablet with great added value. If you then buy a pen and accessory manufacturers offer a keyboard dock, the Pixel Tablet could become a small Android laptop.
Google strengthens its ecosystem
In the end, the Pixel Tablet is a worthwhile addition to Google’s ecosystem. Smartphones were just the beginning. There are now smartwatches and now a tablet. The cooperation between all devices should work seamlessly. As with smartphones, there are five years of software updates for tablets. This way you are protected for a long time.
