Google starts collaboration with reBuy for trade-in old Chromebooks
Google has started a partnership with reBuy to make it possible to trade in Chromebooks in the Netherlands. That is how it works.
Trade in your Chromebook
Google works together with reBuy to offer trade-in options for Chromebooks in the Netherlands. Google wants to use this to increase the sustainability and circularity of Chromebook products. This new option allows you to responsibly recycle your old Chromebook and also earn money with it.
We are very happy to work with reBuy. Now we can give all Chromebook users the ability to give their device a second life without worrying about e-waste or how to properly erase personal data from their old device. At the same time, they can even make some money.
That is how it works
The rollout of the program will start in the Netherlands and will expand further to the Benelux in the near future. Starting today, Chromebook products can be traded in via reBuy. Among others, the Chromebooks from Acer, ASUS, Dell and of course Google can be traded in. You simply specify the make and model. Then you indicate whether the device still turns on, whether you still have the original power cable and what condition it is in.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll immediately see how much reBuy is willing to pay for your Chromebook. Do you agree? Then you can enter your details and have the Chromebook picked up or shipped with a reBuy label. Do you have an old Chromebook lying around somewhere? What are you going to do with that? Is reBuy an option? Let us know in the comments.
