Google has started cutting off the original Google Pay, we are waiting for a new version

The US technology giant introduced last year a new look for its popular Google Pay payment application. It brought many advanced features and took the whole tool to the next level. At the same time as the new version was introduced, it was of course expected that users would start using it instead of the old one as soon as possible. It is still fully operational, however, its days are obviously coming to an end. So at least in the United States, where the new version is already introduced and the old one basically interferes. The company has begun informing users in the U.S. that an older version of Google Pay will stop working.

The date for disabling the basic functions in the old application should be April 5. No other country is affected by this step yet, which is logical. In most of the rest of the world, including the Czech Republic, the new variant of Google Pay does not work yet. However, we can hope to see her soon. In the meantime, what will stop working in the older version of Google Pay in the US? These will be absolutely crucial things, such as making payments or even checking account balances. The history of individual transactions also disappears. So the company is really planning for the old version of GPay definitely close the gate and send the user to a new one.
