Google has released an important feature against covid. Pretty late

Humanity fights Covid-19 for almost two years, and the health effects and various measures have affected the lives of billions of people around the world. Of course, large technology companies, with their technologies, knowledge and capabilities, have, of course, decided to help fight the spread of the virus and the emerging chaos. Google, which has now announced one, is no exception another important innovation. It would be a real blockbuster – if it did not appear with a delay of several months.

What are you talking about? The American giant has finally modified its Passes API, thanks to which it is now possible to upload Covid certificates and codes directly to an Android phone (without using any other application). Yes it is the same as the domestic dot doeswhich is just the problem. Many countries waited for a universal solution, but it did not come, so the states began to develop their own forms of the so-called covid passport. The solution from Google will be very eventually simple and usable globally, but carries (at least from the point of view of Europe) wood to the forest.

API

API (short for Application Programming Interface) refers to an application programming interface in computer science. This term is used by software engineering. It is a collection of procedures, functions, classes or protocols of a library (but also another program or operating system kernel) that the programmer can use.

In addition, final worldwide availability is not yet guaranteed. A new digital intermediary is currently coming starts in the USA and more countries are to be added later. And when we write “add”, it’s not just about where Google puts the feature, but in which states the authorities will decide to use the API at all. Which may not happen at all in many EU countries. Well, if Google was in a hurry…

How do you currently deal with proving infectivity?
