Google fires loyal employee after bizarre info leak

Of course, Google didn’t want this secret information to just get out on the street.

Software engineer Blake Lemoine has been a loyal employee of Google for seven years. The best man probably worked there satisfactorily. However, he lost his job at Google. The American tech company has fired the engineer.

That’s because Lemoine has publicly shared Google’s confidential information. This secret information should not be made public. According to the engineer, the smart chatbot LaMDA has a consciousness. Based on artificial intelligence, the chatbot can make itself smarter.

Lemoine made these statements in a podcast called Big Technology. Although the podcast was not yet public, Google already knew about the statements. Sharing classified information is unacceptable to Google. Despite his seven years of service, Lemoine was fired on the spot.

Google’s project is still ongoing and therefore not ripe for sharing information with the world. The abbreviation LaMDA stands for Language Model for Dialogue Applications. The engineer openly wondered if the smart chatbot didn’t have a soul of its own.

Google also says that LaMDA has no awareness and that Lemoine’s statements are incorrect. It is true that the chatbot can speak based on artificial intelligence. However, as far as Lemoine’s statements go, Google doesn’t want to know about that.
