Google Duo bug makes video calling annoying in Android 12
An error in Google Duo means that sometimes no sound can be heard when accepting a video call. It is a problem with the notification in which the incoming call appears. Google is working on a solution.
Google Duo Error
Do you or a friend use a phone with Android 12? Then you have probably already encountered an error in Google Duo where you cannot hear each other during video calling. The audio error occurs as soon as you accept a call, according to users on the Google Duo forum. It’s a bug that we also encountered in the editors on our phones running Android 12.
Google has now acknowledged the bug and said it is working on a fix. The cause of the sound problems can be found in the pop-up notification of the incoming message. When you accept a call directly from the Duo app, there are no sound issues. However, this is a very annoying mistake in practice, because it is of course logical that users are more inclined to accept a call via the message that appears on the screen.
Android 12 errors
This serious bug in Duo isn’t the only one to sneak into the stable version of Android 12 either. Previously, for example, it was no longer possible to adjust the volume of your Chromecast device with the volume buttons of your phone. That error should be fixed on phones with the January update for Pixel devices.
