Google confirms Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with its own Tensor SoC: we know this
Google has published photos of the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both models will be equipped with their own chipset and of course Android 12. We list the details.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
On Twitter, Google has shared photos of two new smartphones that have been circulating in the rumor circuit for some time. It concerns the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. It is not an official announcement yet, but we do get a lot of information. The phones should be finally released in the fall of this year.
An interesting detail is that Google uses its own chipset, which they have developed themselves. According to previous rumors, Samsung would have contributed to this. Details and benchmarks have not been shared by the company, but it is certain that the chipsets have 5G. According to Google, these chipsets should be able to handle the most powerful AI and machine learning models. This includes, for example, camera performance, speech recognition and more.
The Google Pixel 6 will come on the market with a 6.4-inch flat screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. With the Pixel 6 Pro it will be a 6.7-inch screen; with QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Google would provide the Pixel 6 Pro with a ‘slightly polished aluminum frame’. The ‘standard’ model is spoken. Characteristic of the devices is the rather thick camera module at the back. It is expected that Google will focus even more on an improved camera for the Pixel 6 devices.
Google’s new Pixel 6 smartphones will feature Android 12 with the new Material You layer. When the final announcement is, that remains to be seen. We also have to wait for the answer whether Google will release the phones in the Netherlands this time. Previous Pixel devices were only available here via gray import or you had to get yourself across the border in Germany.
