Check your passwords already on Android
Function Password Checkup (Password Control) was integrated into the Google Chrome web browser as early as 2019. Google now brings it for the Android system. Its purpose is to alert you to potential data leaks or data breaches that could be detected by hackers.
The feature should automatically check passwords stored in Android along with new passwords. If Google finds that your password has been revealed, you’ll be notified to change it. Password checking will be available for devices with Android 9.0 Pie and higher.
Google Maps Dark Mode saves power
Google Maps has finally come to the long-awaited dark mode. You can activate the dark mode in the application manually, or it is activated automatically according to the system settings. In addition to the aesthetic function, it relieves the eyes when watching the display in the dark and also saves battery consumption on OLED displays.
OLED displays, unlike conventional LCD displays, do not have backlighting. Each of their pixels glows separately, and with black, the pixel can even be turned off. If the graphical interface of the system or application is predominantly dark in color, then most pixels consume a minimum of power.
Scheduled SMS messaging and improved Google Assistant
The Google Messaging app has added the ability to schedule a message to be sent, similar to scheduling an email in Gmail. To schedule, you must first write an SMS message and then hold down the Send button. This will bring up a new menu that will allow you to set the exact time when your typed text will be sent.
Even Google Assistant has received a small update that will give it the ability to make phone calls, set timers and alarms, or play music on your smartphone using voice commands. The Android smartphone thus partially becomes a portable smart speaker.
Voice games in Android Car and tools for the blind
Google adds new car-inspired backgrounds to the Android Auto platform. Drivers are sure to enjoy integrated games such as Jeopards, which activate by voice while driving. Thanks to them, their journeys will run a little faster. For easier access to contacts, Google adds shortcuts to Android Auto. Widescreen cars get a new split screen mode so drivers can see Google Maps and media controls at the same time.
Google is releasing a new version of its app for people who are blind or partially sighted Talkback with redesigned menus, more intuitive gesture recognition, improved reading controls and more. Most of the new features are available from today. You can download Talkback version 9.1 from the Google Play store. The Android Auto platform will receive the news in the coming days.
