Underground paradise

The first and oldest
In a beautiful historic building in Haarlem you will find the first and oldest museum in the Netherlands. Teylers Museum amazes with every corner. Think of glittering minerals, millions of years old fossils and super magnets. With extra many workshops and treasure hunts during the holidays.
Of all time
Would you have been a hunter and gatherer? Or do you feel more at home in the Indigenous Roman period? All eras pass by in the preHistorisch Dorp in Eindhoven. With many children’s activities such as building huts, making music, hitting pens or doing a locus puzzle.
Stoneware
How were dolmens able to build such a large monument? You can feel that they were stoneware when you walk through the Oertijdpark, view the largest hunebed or visit the Oerschool. They are happy to help children there with making a speech or assignment. Did you just get that.
Grand miniatures
This family park is grand. It is full of DIY things and of course the well-known miniatures. Children generate their own wind energy, regulate port traffic or mix beats. The Canon of the Netherlands tells with fifty games, animations and films about the most important events that have shaped the Netherlands. Visit the Zaanse Square in the Arnhem Open Air Museum, where children play with old Dutch toys, and let them roll up their sleeves in the children’s yard.
World famous
This part of the Netherlands is world famous. The Zaanse Schans in Zaandam is a unique village where you can walk right into the old Dutch houses and the windmill. Discover the cheese dairy, tin foundry and be sure to browse the bakery museum. The smell of fresh cookies is irresistible. In the Zaans Museum, children draw their own chocolate wrapper, create their own work of art with flowers and plants or get to work as a Verkade girl.
