Sony Xperia 5 IV

The fourth generation of the Sony Xperia 5, which will bear the name Sony Xperia 5 IV, is expected soon. Sony released the current Xperia 5 last April, so the manufacturer is expected to release a new version of the model soon. The phone will be named Xperia 5 IV and some information has now surfaced about this model.

Reportedly, Sony sticks to the image size of 6.1 inches. Where the current model weighs 168 grams, this should be 180 grams for the new model. Sony Gorilla Glass places Victus glass on both the front and the back, the source reports. Furthermore, the device will receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and there will even be a 3.5 millimeter connection for a headset. The Sony Xperia 5 IV is further on the list to get a larger battery capacity, where the current model still comes out at 4500 mAh.

There is also news about the camera of the Sony Xperia 5 IV. This should have a 12 megapixel main lens, a camera that we saw earlier on the Xperia 1 II. The phone will also be equipped with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. This makes it possible to switch to a 3x and 4.4x magnification. With these specs, the camera seems to match that of its predecessor. There is a chance that Sony has tinkered with the software.

It is currently unknown when we will see the new phone. In addition, there are no images of the Sony Xperia 5 IV yet.
