German streamer conquers Twitch – this is how she did it

Amouranth’s success on Twitch speaks volumes – but the tide seems to be turning. Because according to current figures, the scandal streamer is no longer at the top of the Twitch chart. Instead, a German streamer took the crown under her nails – but she also had to work hard to achieve this success.

Amouranth has millions of fans and probably at least as many detractors – but one thing cannot be denied: The influencer is one of the most successful streamers on the planet. In the summer of 2022, she was still unofficially considered the streaming queen of Twitch & YouTube (source: game tips), but those times seem to be over now.

The Streams Charts platform recently published a chart showing which streaming channels were watched most frequently by women in the third week of January. The big surprise: Amouranth is no longer found at #1. In fact, the successful businesswoman didn’t even make it onto the podium. According to the statistics, it is just enough for eighth place:

Instead, a German streamer by the name of HoneyPuu is actually at the top of the chart. She streamed for almost 60 hours during the week of January 17-23, which is about 8.5 hours a day, and was able to her viewers a total of 440,000 hours inspire with their streams. Amouranth, on the other hand, only had a watch time of 252,000 hours in the same period, but was only live for just under 39 hours.

HoneyPuu currently has around 630,000 followers on Twitch, while Amouranth has around 6.2 million. However, their content is very different from Amouranth’s Twitch streams. The German Twitch rival has mainly streamed Minecraft in the last few days. Amouranth, on the other hand, continues to rely heavily on just-chatting streams, where she sits in front of the camera in scantily clad and interacts with her viewers – but that too may change soon.

HoneyPuu’s secret of success: She streamed significantly longer than Amouranth during this time and also has a higher average viewership in the last 7 days.

On average, HoneyPoo had about 7,568 concurrent viewers in the last 7 days, while Amouranth had it only 6,367 spectators (Source: Stream Charts). So are Amouranth’s days numbered? Its critics will hope so, but for Amouranth this should only be a minor setback from which it will quickly recover.
